People are our most important resource. Those who work with us, shape our work – bring into it their special flavour, style and perspective, pour into it passion zest and meaning. Our overall vision and core purpose and our action plans etc do provide a framework. But our team brings life into the work. Our current team consists of:

Aditi Chanchani as Director of EQUATIONS provides the direction to EQUATIONS Programmes on strategic fit, political positions and institutional linkages. Another key role is nurturing people and processes, aimed towards collective leadership in the organisation. Aditi has engaged with EQUATIONS in different capacities since 2000. Aditi is part of the Institutions, Policies and Tourism Models Programme. She has a Masters degree in Tourism and Leisure.

Chidananda G is a Program Associate in the Ecosystems, Communities and Tourism. He is with EQUATIONS since November 2017. He has earlier been with Nature Conservation Foundation and World Wildlife Fund (WWF)-India,Tumkur. He has a B.E (Information Science), Visveraya Technology University, Belgaum.

Durang Bosu Mullick is a Senior Associate in the Society, Culture and Tourism Programme. She is with EQUATIONS since June 2015. Durang has earlier been with YWCA, Sir Dorabji Tata Trust, Vikas Adhyayan Kendra, CINI-ASHA, in various capacities. She has a Masters degree in Sociology from Centre for Social Science Systems, Jawaharlal Nehru University, Delhi.

Girisha V is an Administration Assistant. He is with EQUATIONS since January 2013. He has completed his 1st PUC and has worked in a mobile shop.
 
James is a Finance Assistant. He is with EQUATIONS since March 2013 and has a Bachelor's degree in Commerce.

Joyatri Ray is Programme Coordinator of the Society, Culture and Tourism Programme. She is with EQUATIONS since November 2015. She has a Masters degree in Sociology from Kolkata University. Joyatri has earlier worked with EQUATIONS as the Programme Coordinator between 1999-2004 in Women and Tourism, Child and Tourism, Campaign Information Unit. Her other work experience is with ING Vysya Foundation as the Director, with UNIFEM and also as an independent consultant.

Kavitha M is a Programme Associate in the Tourism Resource Centre & Governance, Law and Tourism. She is with EQUATIONS since November 2014. She has a Bachelor's degree in Business Management and a Masters degree in History from Alagappa University.

Nayana Udayshankar is a Senior Associate in the Ecosystems, Communities and Tourism Programme. She is with EQUATIONS since August 2016. She has earlier worked as a fellow in Natural Justice and Ashira Law, and as a researcher with Reap Benefit, ALF and Himdhara. She has a B.Com LL.B (Hons.) from Gujarat National Law University.

Nino Charles is Programme Coordinator of the Tourism Resource Center Programme. She is with EQUATIONS since June 2016. Nino has worked with Guestline Days Inn, Deepalaya, Samvada, Murray Culshaw Consulting in different capacities.Her work experience covers playng a HR role,a behavior & softskills trainer and has trained and developed a digital course in communcations and fundraising. She has a Masters degree in Social Work from Roshni Nilaya, Mangalore.

Philip Varghese is Program In-Charge of the Governance, Law and Tourism Programme. He is with EQUATIONS since August 2017. Philip has earlier been with NCDHR and Centre for Development and Human Rights (CDHR). He has a M.Phil degree in Political Science and is pursuing Ph.D in Political Science from Centre for Political Studies (CPS), Jawaharlal Nehru University, Delhi.

Rajesh Ranjan is a Senior Associate in the Institutions, Policies and Tourism Models & Society, Culture and Tourism Programme. He is with EQUATIONS since August 2013. He has a M.Phil in Tourism and has worked earlier with ITHM as research associate and as visiting faculty in IQAT community college.

Rajiv Das takes care of Information Technology (IT) and is with EQUATIONS since 2005. He ensures that our computers and equipment are maintained, our data is backed up and our email secure. Rajiv set up our wireless network and is popularly called our IT messiah. He is a Marine Engineer by education.

Sharmila S is in-charge of HR functions and works as a Programme Associate in the Society, Culture and Tourism Programme. She is with EQUATIONS since February 2011. She has a Masters degree in Sociology. Sharmila’s work experience covers developing a PG diploma course in social marketing and working on library and content management systems.

Sophia
 Vijay
,
is a Programme Associate in the Tourism Resource Centre Programme. She joined EQUATIONS in March 2018. Sophia has earlier been with Bal Pharma, Airtel and Lead Pro Consultancy Pvt Ltd as data entry and backend executive. She has completed her PUC.

Sowbhagya is with EQUATIONS since January 2012 and supports with the housekeeping functions of EQUATIONS.


Sudhamshu Mitra is a Program Associate in the Institutions, Policies and Tourism Models Programme. He is with EQUATIONS since July 2017. Sudhamshu has earlier been with STIR Education and Zynga Gaming Network. He has a Bachelors of Engineering (Electronics and Communication) and a Post Graduate Diploma in Liberal Studies - Young India Fellowship from Ashoka University, Delhi.


Swathi Seshadri is Area Coordinator, overall in charge of Research and Networking. She is also the programme coordinator for Institutions, Policies and Tourism Models, Economics of Tourism and Ecosystems, Communities and Tourism. She is working with EQUATIONS since August 2010. Swathi comes with many years of experience working with people’s movements and community based struggles for social justice. She headed the National Youth Foundation, has been involved in extensive research & Advocacy work and has taught social work students. She has a Masters degree in Social Work.

Theresa Florina Lobo is Finance Manager and in-charge of Administration. She is with EQUATIONS since November 2015. She has a Masters degree in Commerce from Anna Malai University. Theresa has worked with organisations like AVAS, SKIP, SEARCH and ISI-Delhi in various capacities.
