The Library and Documentation Unit wihtin EQUATIONS has created a niche for itself. Being the only organisation of its kind in Asia, the Library and Documentation Unit has become a focal point for tourism related information in particular and development issues in general. Over the years, our collection of resources on tourism has grown. The documentation unit supports the campign needs EQUATIONS and also helps activists, researchers, jounalists, students, and other organisation and institutions wiht their information needs. Today, we are seen as a reference point for all kinds of tourism related issyes with regular requests oming in for materials information and contacts.

The library has an extensive collection of books, journals, reports and articles that are specific to tourism. The library uses a unique Class Code that has been designed to meet the needs of a library like ours. The Class- code is a comprehensive, subject wise grouping of various topics related to tourism. The class code while being flexible allows for easy information management and retrieval of information. All material in EQUATIONS is now electronically calssified on the specially designed MCS (Master Catalogue System). The MCS gives users a greater degree of flexibility when searching for material within the library.
